An Xbox for Malcolm to open on his birthday

Posted Sep 11, 2024
Malcolm has never owned a gaming system, but he thoroughly enjoys playing video games and wishes he could do so at home during his free time. Playing video games is a coping mechanism for him, helping him stay positive during periods of anxiety and depression. It also allows him to connect with his friends. He would be overjoyed to get his own Xbox for his birthday this year.

Malcolm is 16 years old and lives in NE

Malcolm is an independent young man who has overcome significant adversity in his life. He is currently in foster care due to abuse and neglect in his home. Malcolm has found a wonderful foster home that is supportive of him and his identification with the LGBTQ+ community. In this home, Malcolm has done well and has decreased in mental health episodes. Malcolm struggles with self-image, which has led to anxiety and depression; however, he has worked hard to develop coping skills and work through his feelings with his foster family. Malcolm loves spending time with friends, shopping, and playing video games. He is doing well in school and enjoys anything artistic.
