Maria, is thrilled to settle into her new one-bedroom, one-bath home in Whittier, where she is focused on balancing work and school. Currently working at South Bay Workforce in a work-study program, she handles administrative tasks and client intakes. Her dream is to become a social worker, and she is actively pursuing her AA in Psychology, with plans to continue on for a BA in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work. Maria’s own experience in foster care fuels her passion for helping others, and she is determined to gain the skills to make a meaningful impact. Maria is also a proud mom to 5-year-old Celine, a vibrant and creative girly-girl who adores makeup, fashion, art, cats, and ballet. Together, they enjoy spending time creating art, practicing yoga, and visiting the park to feed the ducks. In her free time, Maria loves attending church and participating in women's support groups, where she finds strength and encouragement. With her strong determination and love for her daughter, Maria is excited to create a warm, welcoming home and work toward a bright future for her and Celine.
