Cary is facing a difficult situation as she tries to provide any extras for her son, Malcom. His love for the Polar Express and trains, in general, is the one bright spot in his life. With his birthday approaching, Cary believes that a train set will bring him immense joy. Malcom, who is autistic, has struggled in traditional school settings but has found success and happiness in online schooling. She envisions the train set as a daily reward for him after completing his schoolwork. Cary is hopeful that this train set will be the start of a lifelong passion for Malcom, and she eagerly anticipates the joy it will bring him.
Cary is 37 years old and lives in IN
Cary went into foster care near her 4th birthday and remained in foster care until she aged out after graduating high school, and has been making it on her own ever since. She had multiple placements in foster care, but her last foster family was very caring and loved her like she was their own child. Fortunately, she is still in touch with them and they are a positive support system in her life. Cary is a devoted mom to her autistic son.
