A specialized sleep monitor for Ryder who will be released from NICU soon

Posted Oct 18, 2024
Baby Ryder is getting ready to be released from the NICU after overcoming surgery and is considered medically fragile. He will not be sent home with any sort of medical monitoring equipment, but his genetic syndrome puts him at a greatly increased risk of SIDS. A high-tech baby monitor will track Ryder's sleep and breathing patterns and is small enough to be exchanged between Ryder's foster parents and biological parents between visits. Additionally, the accompanying app can be viewed by Ryder's biological parents while they are away, offering them increased connection and assurance.

Ryder is 2 months old and lives in GA

Ryder has just entered the world and is already showing his remarkable fighting spirit. At just one day old, he faced a challenging surgery to correct a rare birth defect. Although he’s been diagnosed with a genetic syndrome, that hasn’t held him back from learning to eat, breathe, and sleep safely and happily. He’s cuddly, content, and absolutely beautiful, with his favorite pastime being held close and chatted to.
