Char Char lives with her cousins in an “unofficial kinship” placement, meaning they don’t receive any financial assistance from the state since CPS is no longer involved. Despite this, Char Char has been blessed with incredible community support and is well-provided for when it comes to clothing. One thing she truly loves is dressing herself and picking out her outfits from her dresser each day. However, the dresser she currently uses is old, and the drawers often fall out, making it difficult and unsafe for her. A new shelf would not only allow Char Char to access her clothes easily and safely but also nurture the independence she craves, empowering her to take charge of her daily routine.
