Both of her parents struggle with substance abuse and are frequently in and out of jail, leaving Nancy without family support. Diagnosed with PTSD and depression, she has endured a lot, yet her determination to break the cycle is strong. She dreams of completing her GED and becoming an ultrasound technician, hoping for a better future for herself and her baby.
