Melissa entered foster care at the age of 13 and aged out at 21, eventually finding stability in housing that allowed her to pursue her ambitions. Over the past few years, she has worked as a phlebotomist, and in fall 2024, she began studying psychology, aiming to become a clinical psychiatrist specializing in supporting foster youth. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Melissa enjoys staying active. She loves going to the gym, hiking, and reading books on self-growth and psychology. After a knee dislocation in 2021, she has remained dedicated to her fitness journey, following a specialized workout plan to strengthen her knee. Passionate about nature, Melissa dreams of creating a peaceful, nature-inspired home for herself and her three kittens, reflecting her love for serenity and personal growth.
