Marcos has always loved the color blue; it just makes him feel happy and relaxed. With winter right around the corner, he is hoping for some cozy new bed sheets. Growing up, he never had the chance to enjoy brand new ones, often relying on hand-me-downs from his foster family. Nowadays, it's tough for them to save up since they're living paycheck to paycheck. Still, the idea of snuggling up in soft, fresh sheets makes him feel comforted.
Marcos is 17 years old and lives in NE
Marcos has faced significant challenges in his life. After being removed from his home due to physical abuse from his grandfather, he now lives with foster parents. Struggling to fit in at his new school, he finds it hard to communicate in English. His favorite color is white, and he enjoys exercising and playing soccer, though he doesn’t support any particular team. He also feels pressured by his biological mother in Guatemala to send money home, which adds to his stress. Despite these challenges, his foster parents remind him to focus on being a kid, going to school, and choosing to work if he wants.
