This winter, Daila needs a pair of boots to keep her warm and comfortable. Unfortunately, she currently doesn’t own any because her previous pair was misplaced at the group home where she lived, and it was never found. Losing her belongings while moving between multiple locations has been a source of great frustration for Daila. However, she has now found her forever home and is part of a loving family. Her new resource mom and sister have given her the comfort and belonging she has longed for. Daila has discovered a pair of boots that she dreams of owning—a perfect replacement for the ones she lost. Granting this wish would mean the world to this young girl this Christmas.
Daila is 15 years old and lives in NJ
Daila has been in and out of foster homes and has suffered from severe depression. However, Daila has been living in a foster home and has shown a tremendous change in her behavior for the better. She has made significant progress in learning to express her feelings and show more love. Daila finds joy in activities such as drawing, listening to music, remodeling old furniture, playing video games, and spending time with her closest friends. She has set a goal to be the best version of herself and build a brighter future.
