With a burning desire to teach herself to play the guitar, Alejandra hopes to cultivate a new skill that will not only enhance her musical expression but also elevate her self-confidence. Alejandra was taken into protective custody after her grandmother did not allow her back into the home for appropriate shelter or care, resulting in the child being without appropriate supervision, food, and shelter. Alejandra's biological parent's whereabouts are unknown. Alejandra was placed in her current placement in late 2021. She lives and goes to school at a large group home/boarding school environment for foster youth. Due to her anxiety, Alejandra is having a tough time with school, but she has made close ties with her peers and with the school staff. Everyone who knows her agrees that she is a smart, sweet girl. One of the things she enjoys most is listening to music in her room.
