As an independent living program (ILP) youth, Mely has faced numerous challenges and obstacles throughout her life. However, she thrives on challenges and never allows them to deter her. Instead, Mely embraces each obstacle, finding ways to succeed despite the difficulties.
Mely enjoys spending time with her friends and siblings, but currently faces transportation challenges since she does not have a car or a license. This often makes it difficult for her to hang out with friends outside of school or visit her siblings independently. An Uber gift card would offer her much-needed relief and assistance with her transportation needs, allowing her to enjoy more fun moments with friends and family amidst her busy school schedule.
