Miguel just got a new job at a restaurant only a mile away from home, and he couldn't be more excited. This job is a big step toward his goal of becoming more independent. He has a simple wish for Christmas: a bike. Having a bike would allow him to easily ride to work without needing anyone else to drive him. It would also give him a chance to get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful biking trail close to where he lives. For Miguel, biking represents freedom and a healthier lifestyle. As he looks forward to this new chapter in his life, he knows that having a bike will help him embrace his journey into adulthood, one ride at a time.
Miguel is 20 years old and lives in GA
Miguel is known as the "king of dry humor" in his foster home. And it's true--his love for making his loved ones laugh is just one of his incredible qualities. Miguel lives with a foster family through extended foster care. He is finishing up high school, working hard at his part-time job, and studying for his driver's license. Miguel is determined, hardworking, and loved by everyone who meets him.
