Lehua is a bright light in the world, filled with empathy and love for others. She enjoys reading, swimming, and playing with her friends. Lehua was placed in foster care with her biological family for the first two weeks of her life. For her safety, she was removed from that environment and placed with her adoptive family as a foster placement when she was just 17 days old. Her biological parents were never involved with any services or visits. Fortunately, her adoptive parents had the blessing of transitioning from being her foster family to her adoptive family. Now, at seven years old, Lehua has shared her life with five other foster children and is the full-time big sister to one of her biological siblings, who also began as a foster placement.
