Gianna is a dedicated college senior at Kutztown University studying PreK-4th grade education. Currently completing her student teaching placement in a second-grade classroom, she spends over forty hours a week honing her skills and making a positive impact on her students. Gianna's passion for education drives her, but the demands of her placement leave her without the ability to maintain a job and a steady income. With the winter season approaching, she is concerned about not being able to afford a good quality winter coat. A gift of a winter coat would not only provide her with warmth and comfort but also alleviate financial stress, allowing her to focus on her journey to becoming an exceptional educator. This support would make a meaningful impact on her life as she works tirelessly to shape the future of young learners.
Gianna is 22 years old and lives in PA
As a child, Gianna's parents battled addiction. Her school age years were a whirlwind of abuse and neglect as a result. She had spent eight years of her life homeless, all while maintaining high marks in school, leadership positions at work, strong relationships, creative talents, and more. At the age of fifteen, Gianna and her three siblings were taken into state custody and put through the foster care system, where she remained until she aged out at eighteen years old. Gianna is a resilient college student majoring in education. She is extremely passionate about her major and will do anything to accomplish her goals; including working three jobs to support herself while in school full-time. Gianna enjoys musicals, education pedagogy, and making friends.
