Nick is a very quiet and respectful young man. As the oldest of five siblings, he has not had an easy childhood; his mother struggles with addiction, and his father is not in the picture. Nick loves sports, and his favorite is basketball. He could play from dawn until dusk if given the chance, and he has spent many summers at the town court playing with friends and his brother. While Nick isn't sure what career he wants to pursue yet, he thinks about it a lot.

Nick and his four siblings have all been placed in different homes, and he is struggling with missing them and their mom. Currently, Nick lives in a group home with seven other teens, located hours away from his hometown due to a lack of available placements for teenagers. When his CASA volunteer asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he expressed a desire to have his family together under one roof and also mentioned wanting Apple AirPods. Nick wants the AirPods so he can listen to music and podcasts, as well as talk on the phone while he is on the move.
