Jessica wishes for a graphing calculator to assist her in math class. While she has access to one at school, she is not allowed to take it home. This creates problems when she needs it for homework. She would like to have one of her own so she can carry it in her backpack and use it whenever she needs to. Having her own graphing calculator would help her perform her best in math this year and throughout the school year.
Jessica is 13 years old and lives in NC
Jessica has always enjoyed taking care of her siblings and is having trouble adjusting to foster care and the idea of just being being a kid. Jessica is bouncy and happy at times but there are many times when she wants to be alone. She loves spending time with her foster family and especially enjoys fun family outings. School is new to her, and she is enjoying it very much. Jessica loves her stuffed animals and just having the same home everyday.
