Dezzi has had a long journey. She and her family have struggled with homelessness for most of her life. She has spent most her life in and out of friends homes to have a roof over her head and food on her plate. She has really worked this year to stay positive and be a role model at school despite the challenge's she faces at home. Dezzi is a choir goddess and has poured in soul into the program at school getting several solos and being a leader in class. Dezzi wants to excel at every sport know to man. She LOVES having a team and a group of people she can call family. Dezzi has not been delt the best cards in life but has made the absolute best out of them. When asking her teachers to describe her they said things like "I truly love that kid", "she is a pure joy to have in my room", "id take her home in a heartbeat". This is a testament to the impact she has on people around her at such a young age.
