Tyler dreams of having a backpacking stove, envisioning it as a way to cook for himself and his family during outdoor adventures. He imagines taking his mom and siblings on hikes, where they can share warm meals and create cherished memories together. For Tyler, wonderful moments are made around a campfire, where healing and connection flourish. This stove would be more than just a cooking tool; it would be an instrument for fostering joy, hope, and togetherness amidst life's challenges. With it, Tyler hopes to continue finding peace and inspiration in the great outdoors while building those special moments with his family.
Tyler is 18 years old and lives in TN
Tyler is a resilient young man who has faced significant challenges this past year. With his brother incarcerated and his mother struggling to make ends meet, Josh has shown incredible determination to rise above his circumstances and he plans on continuing his education at Chattanooga State Community College in the fall of 2025. He finds peace in hiking and backpacking, where he connects with nature and builds his confidence. He has grown through an outdoor therapy program and has built relationships with his mentors while gaining basic outdoor skills which has inspired him to spend more time in the outdoors.
