Ishmael came to the attention of the department due to neglect. He is currently participating in weekly therapy sessions, where he is working on coping skills related to anxiety and expressing his feelings. Due to past trauma, Ishmael has had difficulty trusting adults. He is also adjusting to his new placement. Ishmael has a passion for football and participates in both football and baseball. His dream is to become a professional football player when he grows up. He is very competitive and enjoys watching football and other sports with his current caregiver.
