She’s been juggling a lot—supporting her family, taking college classes, and working—all of which has put a significant amount of stress on her. She’ll be staying in the hospital for the next two weeks, and it would really lift her spirits to enjoy some food that feels like home. She would appreciate meals that remind her of her family and her culture, as they would bring her comfort during this challenging time while she focuses on getting better.

Amy immigrated to the United States at a young age in search of a better life. However, upon her arrival, she faced significant challenges due to community violence, poverty, substance abuse, and trauma in her neighborhood. Despite these obstacles, she has shown remarkable resilience and worked hard to graduate from high school in 2021. Since then, she has been balancing work, attending college, and supporting her family's well-being. Amy is highly focused on changing the direction of her life and has made significant strides toward that goal. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball, gaming on her PlayStation, spending time with her family, and discussing her culture.
