Crisma is an incredible young girl who has shown resilience and strength throughout her life. She entered foster care at just six months old and remained in the system until her case closed when she was about 3 years old. She now lives with her father, who also experienced life in foster care and aged out at 21. Crisma is now thriving in her new home with her dad. She is a bright and curious child who loves Barbies, dolls, learning, and spending time at daycare. She has a great imagination. Sweet and affectionate, she continues to strive and thrive each day. Crisma and her father, Reyes, are proud members of the Tohono O’odham tribe. As they grow together, they carry the strength of their heritage. Her father has faced many challenges, including living in group homes during his youth and experiencing the loss of his biological mother in May 2024. Despite these difficulties, he is working hard to provide for his daughter, holding down a job, and striving to finish high school. Together, this father-daughter duo exemplifies perseverance and hope. They are building a loving home and a bright future, one step at a time.
