Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemDean and his sister currently are living in separate foster homes. Soon he will be moving with his grandmother, and she will be able to take both of them. Dean loves school and is doing very well in his reading and math skills. He loves his sister and is very protective of her. He wants to be an architect when he grows up.
Dean, like many boys his age, loves to play video games. Because he has had some struggles in the past with behavior and following the rules, his grandmother has worked with him so that he can earn screen time based on how he is doing with school and interactions with others. Dean has made tremendous progress since living with his grandmother because she holds him accountable but also loves him unconditionally. He adores her and works hard to please his grandmother and follow the rules in their home.
