Lyn is shy when you first meet her, but once she gets to know you and feels safe, she transforms like a beautiful butterfly emerging from a cocoon. Her smile lights up the whole room, and you can’t help but smile back. Her favorite color is green, and her favorite food is pizza. Foster care was challenging for her at the beginning, but now, with a loving and patient family that adores her, she is growing happy and healthy. She was born with a gene mutation that causes her body to have uncontrollable spasms. This has led to many doctor appointments, including visits to a specialist at Delaware Children’s Hospital, but she is on a good regimen of medications that help manage her condition. Lyn loves being outside and will cry if you make her come in. While she doesn’t like long car rides, she enjoys riding the bus to school.
