Santino is a wonderful kid who puts in a lot of effort in school and strives to do well in his foster home placement. He has been playing soccer since last year, and he sees it as more than just a hobby; he is determined to work hard and become a professional soccer player. He would love to have his own soccer ball so he can practice at home, not just during his team practices.
Santino is 13 years old and lives in CA
Santino and his two younger siblings were removed from their home because of their mother's homelessness and drug misuse. He consistently looks out for his siblings and demonstrates great resilience. Santino has shown emotional strength in handling stress and adversity while also being empathetic and kind towards his younger siblings. In his free time, he enjoys playing online video games with his friends. He is currently in his second year of playing soccer and is improving rapidly, with aspirations of becoming a professional player one day. His ultimate dream is to meet his favorite soccer player, Lionel Messi. Santino receives support services, including therapy, to help him cope with past trauma. Additionally, he benefits from an Individualized Education Program (IEP) at school for educational support.
