Kit and her younger brother not only had difficulty being under the care of their biological parents but also dealt with abuse from extended family members. Kit is now a non-minor dependent of the court and recently married the one positive person in her life that she has known for ten years since middle school. Kit's husband has been overseas for a few years and Kit is focusing on her education in order to become a yoga instructor.
Kit is living in a small apartment with just a few pieces of furniture, and she’s been eating all her meals on the couch because she doesn’t have a dining table. Recently, her family came over, and she felt really embarrassed that they had to eat while sitting on the couch. She’s been saving money in preparation for her emancipation, but she found a small dining table with four chairs that would let her host guests properly.This wish would definitely make mealtime feel more comfortable and inviting for Kit.
