Since the return of Precious and her siblings to their home, they have been facing space constraints, with the need to share rooms and currently sleeping on the floor. Providing bunk beds for Precious and her siblings would help maximize the available space in the family home, fostering a sense of togetherness. Furthermore, having bunk beds would promote unity among the siblings as they navigate the transition of returning to live with their mother. Ensuring they have comfortable and familiar sleeping arrangements would be crucial for their adjustment and well-being.
Precious is 16 years old and lives in WI
Precious, along with her three siblings, was removed from her mother's care in 2003 as a result of physical abuse. Following this, she was placed in the home with her maternal grandmother. The traumatic experience of being removed from her mother's care has left Precious burdened with feelings of self-blame and overwhelming stress. However, Precious has shown remarkable resilience and strength during this challenging time, taking on a motherly role for her younger siblings. Intelligent, sweet, and eager to learn new things, Precious has been a source of support and stability for her family. In January 2024, Precious and her siblings were finally reunited with their mother, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward healing and reunification.
