A phone for Carrianne to keep in touch with her friends

Posted Dec 13, 2024
Carianne really wishes she had a way to connect with her friends outside of school. Living on the outskirts of town makes visiting them a bit tricky, so she's been feeling pretty isolated. A phone would change everything for her! She dreams of being able to text, chat, and FaceTime with her friends, sharing moments and laughs even when they’re apart. Plus, having a phone would let her snap photos and videos to send to them, keeping those special memories alive. It would also help check in with her teachers and ask questions about homework. It’s more than just a phone for Carianne; it’s a way to stay connected and be part of her friends' lives.

Carianne is 12 years old and lives in CA

Carianne is a gentle almost-teenager currently living with a foster family. She has faced a lot of chaos and many frightening situations in her life. However, the foster family she is staying with has a large number of kids, and Carianne feels safe, respected, and appreciated there. She says she can finally focus on her schoolwork and figure out what she wants from life. Carianne loves arts and crafts and enjoys spending time with her group of "weird friends." She also loves listening to music, especially rock. Taking walks in nature is another passion of hers. She is performing well in school and is grateful for the stability her foster family provides. Additionally, she is interested in design and is currently learning the basics of home design.
