Johnny is the youngest of five siblings, all of whom have been adopted or found a permanent home before he was born. He entered foster care in 2022 due to substance exposure. Because of his parents' extensive history of substance use, Johnny never had the chance to form a relationship with them, as their whereabouts have been unknown. From a young age, Johnny has demonstrated curiosity, affection, and independence. However, he also displays developmental delays and struggles with self-soothing, impulsivity, hyperactivity, and anger as he continues to grow. At such a young age, he exhibits aggressive behaviors towards others, which can sometimes lead to self-harm. To address these challenges, Johnny is receiving services aimed at helping him regulate his emotions and behavior. Despite the difficulties he faces, his aunt, who is also his caregiver, is in the process of adopting him and providing him with a loving and safe home.
