Kayla has a passion for music and often turns to it to help calm her nerves when she feels anxious or overwhelmed. She recently mentioned that she wishes she had a pair of wireless headphones. Right now, she has to play her music out loud, but she worries about disturbing her baby brother’s sleep, so she usually keeps it turned down low. This is the first and only thing she’s asked her family for since coming into care, and it would really help her enjoy her music more without any worries.
Kayla is 14 years old and lives in OH
Kayla has been in care for almost two months and is learning to navigate childhood for the first time. As a shy and gentle teenager, she is a deep thinker who shows great empathy. Her current goals are to build positive peer relationships and engage in extracurricular activities. Kayla loves music and frequently listens to the latest releases. Her foster family aims to nurture her passion for music and help her express herself through creating her own songs.
