A laptop for Kaylise to excel in college

Posted Jan 2, 2025
Kaylise is seeking assistance in acquiring a new laptop to kickstart her freshman year of college, an important step in her academic journey. Having her own personal laptop would empower her to manage her coursework effectively, study diligently for exams, and craft well-written essays, all while adapting to the demands of virtual classes. This marks a significant milestone for Kaylise, as she has never owned a laptop before. Owning a personal device will not only enhance her learning experience but also provide her with a sense of independence and responsibility. This new laptop will be an invaluable tool in helping her navigate the challenges and opportunities that college life brings.

Kaylise is 17 years old and lives in RI

Kaylise has been in placement for a few years and has proven to be very motivated. She is set to graduate high school with honors in June of 2025. With aspirations of pursuing a career in law or human services, Kaylise's main goal is to find a profession that helps people navigate difficult times. Having benefitted from the support of therapists and court advocates, she is passionate about giving back to other youth and children in the child welfare system. In addition to her academic achievements, Kaylise enjoys participating in cheerleading and basketball. She also has a creative side, as she loves doing hair and maintaining her fitness through regular workouts.
