Lucia spent 3 years in the system, the most difficult part for her was never getting treated as an equal. Foster parents often make it known that you're nothing but a means to money. Throughout her care in the system, what brought her comfort was her phone. She knows it sounds crazy ridiculous,s but seriously. Her phone was the only sense of control she had throughout the whole thing. She could text her family, watch whatever she wanted, listen to music, etc. Her favorite thing to do is to read, paint, draw, listen to music, and spend time on her phone. She loves BTS, going out to the movies, shopping, makeup, cuddling with her cat, and seeing her family. Her goal in life is to be financially responsible and stable. She wishes to be able to afford a humble lifestyle without constantly crying over bills or cutting back on food to be able to pay bills.
