A crash pad for Morgan to help manage his extra energy in a safe way

Posted Jan 16, 2025
Morgan frequently faces challenges with dysregulated behaviors, stemming from an inability to channel his excess energy in a constructive way. A crash pad would be immensely beneficial for him, providing a safe and engaging outlet for his physical needs. His adopted sister, who displays similar behavioral patterns, would also gain from this resource. Furthermore, having a crash pad would empower their family to explore and implement effective strategies to support Morgan in meeting his sensory and self-regulation needs, fostering a healthier and more balanced environment for both children.

Morgan is 6 years old and lives in PA

Morgan is a bright and lively boy who has plenty of love to give. He was adopted by his family after being surrendered by his birth parents under Pennsylvania's Safe Haven law. Morgan enjoys playing with slime and loves video games, especially Minecraft and Mario Kart. He is also excited about starting a new class that will help him channel his energy into learning fun new skills.

Salvation Army Children's Services: Foster Care & Adoption receives the wish!

"Thank you for granting this wish for Morgan. I saw a video of his sister taking the biggest leap possible off of a platform (I'm not sure what it was) onto the crash pad and it looked like she was about to take flight! This is going to help Morgan and his sister with regulation and just even with overall joy! The children would like to send you a card that they make themselves. I will ask One Simple Wish if we can send the card to them so they can forward it to you if that would be ok with you. This was such an incredibly kind thing to do for these children. Thank you. - Angie Gillen, The Salvation Army Children's Services"
