William is a super sweet guy that has been in foster care since he was born. He has some special needs and receives loads of services! His foster family has been doing amazing to meet his unique needs. He is learning to walk but does suffer from a visual impairment that makes this a challenge. Doctors also believe he has a seizure disorder and will require more in-depth treatment in the months to come.

William is on an exciting journey of growth and development. His occupational therapy team has introduced a remarkable vibrating sensory tool designed specifically to assist him. William faces challenges during mealtime; he often struggles to eat like his peers, and even the act of putting objects in his mouth can trigger a gag reflex. This innovative tool aims to desensitize his mouth and encourage a more positive relationship with food. With consistent use, it’s hoped that William will not only overcome his aversions but also begin to explore and enjoy a wide variety of foods. Before long, he will be adventurous at the table, eagerly trying new tastes and textures!
