A preemie car seat for Kayla to get home safely from the NICU
Posted Jan 10, 2025
Kayla has had a rough start to life, but she is soon going to be discharged from the NICU and moving to the foster home where her big brother is living! Kayla faces a long journey ahead, and the first step is her discharge from the NICU. To be discharged, she needs a car seat that can accommodate a baby as small as 3 pounds. This car seat is approved for transporting babies beginning at 3 pounds and is specifically designed to fit the smaller body sizes of premature infants. With this car seat, Kayla will be safe and comfortable during her first car ride from the NICU to her foster home. She will also continue to use this car seat for her various appointments after leaving the hospital. It is designed to grow with her until she reaches 35 pounds, allowing her to use it for at least her first year of life. Additionally, this car seat can be attached to several different strollers, which means Kayla can go on adventures with her foster family and brother. Since she is so tiny and will remain small for a while, this car seat will be more beneficial than a stroller in keeping her safely positioned when they are out and about. Overall, this car seat will be a tremendous help in ensuring Kayla's safety as she begins her journey in the world!
