Chloe struggles at school, but she absolutely cherishes recess, especially the time she gets to spend with her friends. That break is essential for her to move her body and feel free. Unfortunately, she can't enjoy playing outside during recess until she has the proper winter gear—snow pants, gloves, and boots. She longs for those items so she can join her friends in the snow and make the most of her favorite part of the school day.
Chloe is 9 years old and lives in IL
Chloe is in foster care, but luckily resides with her grandmother who loves her with all her heart. Chloe's mother has significant mental health issues that make it impossible for her to care for Chloe. Grandmother works full-time at a grocery store and provides for all of Chloe's needs. Chloe's favorite part of school is recess.
