Mattie is happy and always smiling. She is a well-rounded young lady and is always helping out in any way possible. She has type 1 diabetes, but she never lets that get the best of her. She is involved in cheer and is always ready for a craft. She is very artsy and loves to capture every moment. Mattie is currently in foster care.

Mattie is hoping to receive a desk for her birthday this year. With a house full of little siblings, she longs for a personal space to call her own—a quiet corner where she can focus on her homework, do her makeup, and enjoy some solitude. The constant activity of young children in the house makes it challenging for her to find the space she needs, but having a dedicated desk would provide her with the opportunity to concentrate and excel in her studies.
