Niya has been actively seeking employment, but she needs her Social Security card to secure a job. Due to safety concerns, she is unable to use public transit, and her family does not have a car. Therefore, she is requesting an Uber gift card to safely travel to and from the Social Security office to apply for a new card. Niya has a job training program lined up and will be able to start working as soon as her Social Security card is approved—she is so close to reaching her goal!

Niya is a resilient individual who has faced ongoing challenges including housing instability, food insecurity, and issues related to incarceration. Despite these hurdles, Niya is determined to graduate early and is working hard towards that goal. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with cats, doing hair, and putting together fresh outfits. She is also excited about learning to drive, which represents another step towards independence and stability in her life.
