Ray has experienced violence at the hands of several family members. Despite the years of trauma, he remains a sweet, curious, and creative child. He struggles to connect with other kids his age at school and has difficulty focusing.

Ray is having a tough time in school right now. While his classmates are confidently reading and writing sentences, he’s still working hard on learning the letters and their sounds. Even though he's facing these challenges, he really wants to get better at reading. He knows he needs a lot of help to catch up, and it’s important to build his confidence as he navigates this. During an outing with his Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Ray was introduced to a LeapFrog learning system, and it really caught his attention! He got so excited when he saw how it could help him improve and feel more connected with his classmates. With his birthday coming up, he couldn’t wait to tell everyone about his wish for a LeapFrog LeapStart learning system. He thinks it would be an amazing way for him to work on his academic skills without the distractions of a screen. It seems like the perfect fit for what he needs right now.
