Having a working device will let her keep up with assignments and do practice tests for the GED. Once she finishes her GED, she’s excited to study business, focusing on management, finance, and marketing. Kia loves the idea of a business degree because it can open up many opportunities for her to lead and innovate. She wants to create strategies that can help others grow and succeed, just like she hopes to do!

She endured multiple placements and has overcome experiences of abuse, abandonment, and neglect before aging out. Now, she has found stability and is dedicated to completing her education to create a better future for herself and to set a positive example for her younger sibling, who is still in foster care. Kia is determined to leave the negativity of her past behind and focus on her future.
