A fridge for Sumaya to keep food in her new apartment

Sumaya just moved to a new apartment with her young daughter, looking forward to a safe and comfy place. But soon after moving in, she found out that the apartment didn’t have a refrigerator. This was unexpected and created a bit of a problem for her. With the costs of moving, she’s now trying to figure out how to get a fridge, which is really important for keeping food fresh and her daughter healthy. Having a fridge would really help ease her worries and make their home feel complete.
Sumaya is 23 years old and lives in NJ
Sumaya is a dedicated individual who is currently pursuing her studies in criminal justice while also working as an optometrist's assistant. Balancing her educational and professional commitments, she remains a loving mother, striving to provide for her family. Having aged out of DCPP services, she navigates her challenges with resilience, receiving very little support along the way. Her hard work and determination reflect her commitment to building a better future for herself and her children.
