The hard work finally paid off when she received an exciting job offer from a company she admired. She could hardly contain her joy as she imagined her new role, the people she'd meet, and the opportunities ahead. However, reality hit her when she realized that she would need a gas card to cover her commute until her first paycheck arrived. With enthusiasm radiating from her, she started to brainstorm ways to secure that vital resource. She pictured herself driving to work, fueled by excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead, and she knew she had to find a solution to make it all happen. Kate is 19 years old and lives in NM
Kate lives in her own studio apartment as part of a transitional living program. Although she has only been living independently for a short time, she has received valuable support from her case managers. Recently, Kate has been experiencing some issues with her car, and she is taking the initiative to learn how to fix some of the problems herself. Aside from these challenges, she enjoys spending time with friends and remains dedicated to her work, finding joy in her newfound independence.
