Elena was emancipated from the foster care system at age 18 and immediately went to college to pursue her bachelor's degree. Shortly before the pandemic, she faced some life challenges that forced her to put a hold on her college career and begin working full-time. Elena is passionate about working with kids, and her dream is to become a pediatrician. Just this past year, she was able to re-enroll full-time in classes and is excited to graduate with her bachelor's degree in 2026!
