Destiny is an older youth who has chosen to remain in care to develop her independent living skills with Children's Division. She faces challenges with organization and maintaining a clean, safe space, which stem from her past living arrangements prior to entering care. We are committed to addressing these issues during each visit and through her current placement. To assist her further, Destiny needs a bookshelf to help organize her belongings, including her college work. Despite these challenges, she is a bright young woman pursuing a degree in business.
Destiny is 19 years old and lives in MO
Destiny is a determined older youth who wants to go to college and open her own restaurant. She is choosing to remain in foster care until she ages out at 21. Destiny is currently in her freshman year and has had some challenges adjusting but is taking steps at college to assist her. She is involved in several study groups and esports on campus. She is living on her own for the first time ever in her own apartment close to campus which has been an adjustment. She struggles some with missing her family and feeling alone so encouraging her to branch out, continuing her therapy, and staying on top of her mental health is a constant need.
