A heartbeat teddy bear for Ian to try and help him sleep better

Ian, 8 months old

Wish submitted by:

NJ DCFS - Monmouth County

Ian is still quite young, but he is becoming more alert and aware of his surroundings. He particularly enjoys when people are talking to him. Since he was in the NICU at birth, there is a possibility he may experience some developmental delays. However, he is currently thriving and surpassing all expectations!

Ian has been struggling to sleep well at night, and there’s a possibility he might be experiencing withdrawal symptoms. To help him, his nurse suggested trying a heartbeat stuffed animal. This cuddly baby soother, designed for newborns, features a clever sensor that detects fussiness and automatically plays calming sounds to help soothe the baby back to sleep. It offers six calming melodies, including white noise, shushing sounds, a mother's heartbeat, and classic lullabies like Brahms’ and Rock-a-Bye Baby. This comforting teddy bear could be just what Ian needs to achieve a peaceful night's rest!

"Ian received his bedtime bear and while he hasn't slept a full night yet, the bear has seemed to help and improve his sleep some! He has also noticeably been less fussy when the bear is next to him. The family is greatly appreciative of this gift, thank you! "
