Kayla has had a tough start to life after being diagnosed with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) following her early birth. Since leaving the NICU, she's struggled to sleep and often wakes up due to tremors from her withdrawals. The tremors make it difficult for her to calm down and fall back asleep without someone holding her, causing her to wake up several times each hour. To help her sleep better, there's a special bassinet that detects when she wakes up, cries, or feels unsettled. It offers gentle rocking, calming sounds, and soothing vibrations to help Kayla fall back asleep. This bassinet is designed to meet her needs and is essential for her early development, giving her the best chance to grow and thrive.
Kayla is 2 months old and lives in OH
Kayla faced a difficult beginning, as she was admitted to the NICU right after her birth. After leaving the hospital, she was fortunate to be placed in the same foster home as her older brother. As Kayla continues to grow and develop, she will require plenty of support. Fortunately, with the resources available to her, she has a strong chance of thriving and leading a successful life.
