Cara is a hardworking young woman balancing school and a job as a waitress. She’s studying to become a nurse while also trying to support herself and her brother. Sometimes, paying for groceries can be tough. A grocery gift card would really help her out by ensuring they have fresh, healthy meals. This would relieve some of her stress so she can keep focusing on her studies and her goal of helping foster youth. This is wish 2 of 2, so Cara can fill her cupboards.

Cara is a resilient young woman who aged out of foster care at 18. Despite experiencing homelessness, she has fought for custody of her brother and is currently working as a waitress while studying to become a registered nurse. After the tragic loss of her sister in a car accident last year, Cara dreams of starting a program in South Carolina to support foster youth. An artist and aspiring author, she is writing a book about her journey to achieve her goals and give back to others.
