Jay and his sister live in separate foster homes, but they share an inseparable bond and talk on the phone almost every day. Jay enjoys going out to dinner with his sister to celebrate special occasions. This year, he wants to celebrate his 14th birthday by sharing a triple dipper and some other delicious appetizers at Chili's with his favorite person.
Jay is 13 years old and lives in NJ
Jelani, or Jay, is currently living in a foster home and is not able to live with his biological siblings. Jelani has been working very hard with his service providers to be able to manage his emotions. Jelani regularly contacts his biological family and thinks about them. Jelani loves to read and aspires to become a journalist when he grows up. Jelani has many friends in school, is a member of the choir, and takes on leadership roles whenever possible.
