Jasmine is working hard to create a bright future for herself and her son while following her passion for helping others. She’s currently renewing her certification to be a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counselor, which allows her to support people struggling with addiction. At the same time, she dreams of becoming a paralegal so she can advocate for those facing challenges, just like she used to. To help her with both her current job and future plans, Jasmine is taking online classes on topics like trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, and ethics. These courses will not only make her a better counselor now but also give her a deeper understanding of the challenges people face in legal situations. By combining her personal experiences, counseling skills, and legal knowledge, Jasmine hopes to help others navigate the legal and social service systems.
