Slip-on sneakers for Shawn to finish his school year strong

Posted Mar 17, 2025
Shawn is hoping for a new pair of slip-on sneakers to help him finish the school year. These shoes will replace his worn-out ones and give him a fresh, clean look. Due to the shape of his legs and feet, Shawn needs new shoes more often. This issue stems from the neglect and abuse he experienced before entering foster care. Unfortunately, he will have to manage this for the rest of his life, which often leads to walking and leg problems. These new shoes will be especially helpful for him during physical education classes, as they will provide a better grip on the floor.

Shawn is 18 years old and lives in NC

Shawn is a wonderful young man who, despite struggling with the lasting effects of abuse and neglect, has a bright and caring spirit. With many special needs, he requires a high level of care and attention, but he thrives when he is part of a loving family. Shawn enjoys working on fixing things and finding satisfaction in hands-on activities. He has a fondness for Chick-fil-A and loves listening to music in his downtime. Driven by his passion for helping others, Shawn aspires to become a teacher someday, eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him.
