With limited access to affordable classes, having the mat would allow her to work on her skills whenever she wants. It would provide a safe, soft surface for practicing jumps, flips, and other gymnastics moves. Having the mat at home would help Alicia stay active and continue improving her gymnastics abilities outside of a formal class setting.
